Main responsibilities
Vattenfall is aiming for a continuous optimization of IT efficiency and has identified virtualization as being key for achieving this goal. As a system designer in the area of virtualization you will develop and maintain the virtual hosting platforms for Vattenfall. Moreover you will incorporate the latest market developments – like cloud computing – and evaluate possible quality improvements and saving potentials for Vattenfall.
Your background
You have a broad knowledge about the various enterprise virtualization platforms. You understand the complex scenarios of virtualization in large corporations and environments. You always aim for the big picture as well as for simplifications and optimizations. A good communication style is needed to ensure proper stakeholder management.
- Academic degree mandatory in the area of Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or Natural Science
- IT Professional / Engineer with deep knowledge in enterprise virtualization and Windows Server administration
- First experiences in cloud computing environments
- Experience in the area of server automation and orchestration
- Proven knowledge in technical project management
- Good knowledge in ITIL processes
- Basic knowledge in TCP/IP networking
- Knowledge in Windows Server security
- Fluent in English, capabilities in Dutch, German or Swedish considered a plus
