AfdelingThe Diagnostics Division is part of the After Sales organization within Marketing & Sales. This department is responsible for the development, production and maintenance of diagnostic equipment (hardware and software) for DAF Trucks and PACCAR Engines workshops and factories worldwide.FunctieomschrijvingThe Diagnostics Engineer 'Toolset’ is responsible for specifying, implementing, integrating and validating new diagnostic equipment required to run the DAF and PACCAR diagnostic toolset. Diagnostic equipment can be hardware and/or software, can be developed by external or internal suppliers or can be developed and applied within the diagnostics team itself. You are the first person within DAF on state-of-the-art
The main responsibilities are:
1) to coordinate and/or support various diagnostic toolset development projects. These could be as divers as an in-vehicle data logger, a trailer diagnosis software, a tablet PC, a matrix scanner.
2) maintaining the optimal functionality of the existing diagnostic toolset (or parts of it) in the field in the role of Functional Application Manager. Main parts are (all are brand new and state-of-the-art tools): the Authoring Environment, the Service Tester and Manufacturing Tool and the back-office functional integration.
He/she works in close cooperation with equipment suppliers, the PACCAR Information Technology Department, the Product Development group, Manufacturing engineers and other Marketing & Sales teams.FunctieprofielA Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering with emphasis on information technology or a degree in Information Technology with emphasis on automotive or PC applications is required.
At least 5 years experience is required. Preferably in an automotive, IT or service equipment environment. Proven requirements definition and acceptance validation skills are a must.
Knowledge of vehicle communication and diagnostic methods are an asset. Good knowledge of English is required.
